The DoD public affairs office that handles "the new media" is strongly behind us, as are the Navy public affairs folks in our chain of command. The warfighters, who make up our chain of command are understandably cautions, due to the obvious potential for the inadvertent disclosure of classified information and operational details. 

My sense is that I and my fellow bloggers aboard RUSSELL are still establishing our credibility. As time passes and we demonstrate that we can keep the lid on things we shouldn't be blogging about while engaging the public and producing a positive effect, the chain of command will warm up to the idea.</description>
